Danielle Stein's column (Opinion, "Strange Traffic Laws From Hawaii to Pennsylvania," Jan. 30, 2002) seems to imply that the residents of Tannersville, Penn., simply decided that in order to make the world a better place, they would start strictly enforcing the tailgating violations and would do it in the most ridiculous way possible -- with "big white blobs of paint" on Interstate 80 East.
